Do you allow or resist?

Do you allow or resist?

Are you even aware of the difference?

You will know if you are in a state of resistance by the way that you are feeling.  Emotions of frustration, overwhelm are the feedback to let you know that you are rowing your boat upstream and not getting to where you want to go.

It’s hard work and exhausting.

It doesn’t seem to matter what you do; you just can’t get ahead.  It’s like being on a hamster wheel.  When you are experiencing resistance, you are providing resistance to what you want by spending your energy and focus on what you don’t want.

Allowing on the other hand is a different feeling. It comes from a place of being calm, relaxed and letting something happen.  It is letting yourself row downstream without having to do a huge amount of work (how is this even possible you say).  It is going with the flow, knowing the direction you are going and allowing it to unfold without trying to force it or control the outcome.

You are either co-operating with the Universe for what you want (allowing) or you are being uncooperative (resisting).

Having spent most of my life in the resistance rowing upstream I can share with you allowing is a wonderful place to be.

Notice this week when you feel you are allowing things to happen and how good it feels.

Have a wonderful week ????

One of the hardest things to do…

One of the hardest things to do… is REST. This was something I was never really good at. I couldn’t even take five minutes out for myself without justifying how “busy” I was. It used to feel really uncomfortable to put myself first. Thankfully I have learnt how do to...

Is there ever a “right time”?

Is there ever a “right time”?

People often tell themselves  that they are  too busy, too early, too late, or I’ll start "when the time is right." But what if time isn't the problem? Nature doesn't hesitate. A tree knows when to let go of its leaves and when to grow new ones. It doesn't overthink...
