One of the most powerful concepts I have been learning about is your Teachability Index. It is a simple way to check how open you are to learning and change.
It’s made up of two questions:
1️. What’s your willingness to learn?
Are you truly open to new ideas, or do you dismiss them because they don’t fit your current beliefs?
2️. What’s your willingness to change?
Are you prepared to apply what you learn — even if it means letting go of old habits, routines, or ways of thinking?
I used to get up for calls at 2am every week with Bob Proctor so that I could learn. I was willing to give up sleep and get up early to do this. I would travel to Canada 3-4 times a year so I could soak up his wisdom.

Lots of people say they want change, but when it comes to applying something new, they fall back into comfort zones. That’s where growth stalls and your old paradigms (habits, beliefs and behaviours) stay in charge.
Do you hear yourself saying “I know” or “I’ve got it”. This lowers your Teachability Index as you block understanding and keep the knowledge in your conscious mind, which only controls about 4% of your behaviour.
Which is why people can “know” a lot of stuff, but not doing anything with it.
Ask yourself today:
- What’s my willingness to learn (1–10)?
- What’s my willingness to change (1–10)?
When you stay open, curious, and willing to shift, that’s when real transformation happens.
Have an amazing week ahead.
