Happy Monday !!!
Like many others, I’ve been drawn to Mel Robbins’ ideas about “Let Them” and “Let Me.”
These concepts came into my life at just the right time—when I realised I was still trying to please people in ways I thought I had already let go of.
It wasn’t until someone helped me shift my perspective that I saw things differently.
What I love about personal development is that your awareness keeps growing. The more you learn, the more you realise how much you don’t know. Growth is a lifelong journey, full of lessons and layers.
I thought I was already doing the “Let Me” part—but in reality, I was calling it avoidance. It took someone else’s insight for me to see that what I was actually doing was self-preservation. That shift changed how I felt and acted in a particular situation.
I gave myself permission to see things differently. I moved from doing what I thought was “right” for others to doing what was truly right for me—even if it didn’t follow social norms, and even though I knew it might hurt someone else
The way I had been handling things just wasn’t working anymore. I needed to do something different—exactly what I teach others—but I hadn’t realised I was stuck. I had been blindsided.
I highly recommend Mel Robbins’ book. And remember, “Let Them” is just as powerful and necessary as “Let Me.” 2 sides of the coin.
Have a fantastic week ahead!!!
