The Value of Friendship

You know what it’s like when you catch up with someone that you haven’t seen in 20 years and it is like no time has passed.

This happened for me over the weekend and some shifts in perspective occurred within me. “True friendships are ones that you can pick up a conversation that you started 20 years ago”.

What a blessing that is. BUT so many judgements can be made. Why didn’t they stay in touch? Why don’t they call me back when I have reached out? Its one sided. Blah blah blah.

This is a story that we can make up based upon how we are conditioned. Some wonderful words from Neale Donald Walshe

“The meaning of everything is the meaning I give it”.

A shift in perspective occurred for me and that’s what I love about this “work”. In the words of Wayne Dyer

“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”.

What can you do this week that changes the meaning that you give it by changing the way that you look at things?

Who can you reach out to and rekindle a friendship that you value?

Love and friendship

One of the hardest things to do… is REST. This was something I was never really good at. I couldn’t even take five minutes out for myself without justifying how “busy” I was. It used to feel really uncomfortable to put myself first. Thankfully I have learnt how do to...

Is there ever a “right time”?

Is there ever a “right time”?

People often tell themselves  that they are  too busy, too early, too late, or I’ll start "when the time is right." But what if time isn't the problem? Nature doesn't hesitate. A tree knows when to let go of its leaves and when to grow new ones. It doesn't overthink...
