Are you on the bottom of the pile of your life?

Are you on the bottom of the pile of your life?

Are you a people pleaser?

I have been drawing this picture for many people over the past few weeks.

The conversation generally goes along the lines of:

When you look at yourself and the triangle is on top of you:

1.   You put everybody’s needs before your own. You are incredibly generous and a great giver at the expense of yourself
2.   You aren’t great at asking for help
3.   You often experience feeling guilty
4.   You may have things you want to do but avoid doing or cancel them.

Living like this is exhausting, chaotic and comes from a place of being out of control. Generally, it is based upon beliefs that you have to do the “right thing”, not feeling good enough or unworthy.

I am working with people to shift their mindset to being on top of the triangle. This is where they start to put themselves first. This isn’t about being selfish. This is about being selfull. Filling your own cup first. When you do this, you’ll feel more energised, have more order in your life, and find that you have more to give.

Make a decision today to put yourself on top of the pile. Put yourself in your calendar. Do the things you have putting off that you would love.

And…. Begin asking for help. It gives the opportunity for someone else to give. And you know how great that feels!!

This isn’t easy to do – if you want help reach out!!

One of the hardest things to do…

One of the hardest things to do… is REST. This was something I was never really good at. I couldn’t even take five minutes out for myself without justifying how “busy” I was. It used to feel really uncomfortable to put myself first. Thankfully I have learnt how do to...

Is there ever a “right time”?

Is there ever a “right time”?

People often tell themselves  that they are  too busy, too early, too late, or I’ll start "when the time is right." But what if time isn't the problem? Nature doesn't hesitate. A tree knows when to let go of its leaves and when to grow new ones. It doesn't overthink...
