Not just with your list of what you want to get done, but how you would like to feel as well.
This is an excellent tool to prepare yourself mentally and physically, allowing greater productivity. Doing this the day before is an excellent habit to get into, even the morning of is beneficial. You are creating an intention of what you expect the outcome to be.
As you know, many things don’t always run smoothly and logically you can try to control this. If you can set your intention, follow your list of what you would like to get done and be open to things flowing you will find things can feel easier.
Setting the intention of the feeling is a critical part of the process. I did this yesterday. With my expectation about how Mother’s Day would be. What I would like it to feel like. The things that I would like to experience. Not everything went to plan. BUT I reflected back on my day and I got to feel exactly how I wanted to and experienced many of the things that I desired. The key was that creating my day in advance allowed me to be very intentional with my expectations and how I wanted to feel.
This was a habit I developed a number of years ago and it allowed me to release the control, let go of the frustration if things didn’t work out how I had planned, and created an understanding for myself that everything was working out perfectly even if it didn’t look like how I expected it.
Try it for yourself. It can be a short process and remember to tap into the end feeling. Choose 6 goal achieving activities each day and you’ll be amazed at how productive you become.
Have a great week ahead!!
