Have you given up already?

It is over halfway through January and you’ve probably set yourself some new habits and goals this year.

You may have already given up on them. Understand that this is normal. But don’t give up.
You have to convince and talk yourself into what you want.

Cross your arms for a moment. Now cross them the other way. If you are like most people this involves some effort and thinking on your part. How does it feel? Uncomfortable? What’s the first thing you want to do? Go back to the other way of crossing your arms. Why? That’s where you are comfortable. Its your normal way of doing things.

When developing new habits it is just like crossing your arms the other way. Its not your normal way. You have to do things differently. This involves being persistent with yourself, encouraging. Knowing sometimes that you will forget, that you will drop the ball. Instead of beating yourself up and feeling guilty, speak to yourself differently.

This can be a complete upgrade of the conversations that you have with yourself. Telling yourself that it is possible, that you can do it, that you can have what you want, that you are worth it.

You have to be open to receiving what you want. The quickest way to do this is to count your blessings. Look at what you already have in your life. From the simple things to the big. Running water, a bed to sleep in, food to eat.

You can shift your feeling simply by looking for something that makes you feel grateful.
Feeling down, bad, anxious, angry, frustrated, guilty, upset is a block to you letting in the good you desire.

Have a wonderful week ahead and keep working on building those new habits that will move you closer to your goal.

One of the hardest things to do…

One of the hardest things to do… is REST. This was something I was never really good at. I couldn’t even take five minutes out for myself without justifying how “busy” I was. It used to feel really uncomfortable to put myself first. Thankfully I have learnt how do to...

Is there ever a “right time”?

Is there ever a “right time”?

People often tell themselves  that they are  too busy, too early, too late, or I’ll start "when the time is right." But what if time isn't the problem? Nature doesn't hesitate. A tree knows when to let go of its leaves and when to grow new ones. It doesn't overthink...
