If not now, when?

With a focus on discipline over the past few weeks there’s a realisation that its not always easy.

But if you add your decision with discipline, you will be more likely to succeed.

You see, the key is understanding the importance about going after something that you really want and this involves making a decision.  i.e. improving health, exercising more, changing jobs.

The key is to link your desire, your decision and then the discipline. You will be way more likely to succeed.

The recipe:
1)  Ask yourself: What do I want, what do I really want?
2)  Am I prepared to make a committed decision? (not one where you are loose in your decision where you accept excuses)
3)  Be aware of what your defaults are. Your old way of doing things and how you trip yourself up (i.e. opening the pantry door, making excuses that your job will get better). Name this up to yourself and identify the new habits you will create for yourself.
4) Be disciplined in these new habits that will move you towards that which you desire.

Is it easy?  No. That’s why most people don’t do it and stay where they are. You are conditioned to be comfortable.

Your growth will depend upon you doing something different.

One of the hardest things to do… is REST. This was something I was never really good at. I couldn’t even take five minutes out for myself without justifying how “busy” I was. It used to feel really uncomfortable to put myself first. Thankfully I have learnt how do to...

Is there ever a “right time”?

Is there ever a “right time”?

People often tell themselves  that they are  too busy, too early, too late, or I’ll start "when the time is right." But what if time isn't the problem? Nature doesn't hesitate. A tree knows when to let go of its leaves and when to grow new ones. It doesn't overthink...
