Overcoming self sabotage

Have you noticed those sneaky thoughts that creep in when you start second guessing yourself?

“I am not good enough”
“I can go without”
“I might let someone down”
“What will people think?”
“I don’t have time”
“I’m so stupid”
“I never look nice”

Are you SHOULDING on your self – I should do this and I should do that?
“Self sabotage is like driving with your foot on the accelerator and the brake pedal at the same time.” It doesn’t matter how hard you press the accelerator you are not going to reach your destination with your other foot firmly planted on the brake.

Beliefs of unworthiness, not good enough and used to feeling guilty are the way that many people are living their life and unaware how to change things.

Overriding self-sabotage is a process.

If you could think new thoughts, they would lead to new choices, those new choices would lead to creating new behaviours, those behaviours would lead to new experiences.” Dr Jo Dispenza

It starts with awareness. Being aware of what you are saying to yourself and replacing with the new.

I am good enough
I am confident
I can take the first step
I have all the time I need
I am safe
I can do this
I am good at what I do
I am able to fuel my body with great food

Choose one of these new thoughts this week or create your own and start the process.  Want some help?  I’d love to have a chat just make a time here.

Have a fantastic week ahead!

Watch your words

Watch your words

The word Abracadabra is said to have ancient Aramaic roots connected to the idea of “I create with my words.” There is an old saying: “You are hung by the tongue.” What are you saying about yourself, your life and your circumstances? Be mindful of the story you speak...

One of the hardest things to do…

One of the hardest things to do…

One of the hardest things to do… is REST. This was something I was never really good at. I couldn’t even take five minutes out for myself without justifying how “busy” I was. It used to feel really uncomfortable to put myself first. Thankfully I have learnt how do to...

Is there ever a “right time”?

Is there ever a “right time”?

People often tell themselves  that they are  too busy, too early, too late, or I’ll start "when the time is right." But what if time isn't the problem? Nature doesn't hesitate. A tree knows when to let go of its leaves and when to grow new ones. It doesn't overthink...
