Overthinking it

Have you ever found yourself stuck in a loop of overthinking?

Playing out worst-case scenarios. Rehearsing conversations that haven’t happened.

Imagining all the ways things could go wrong.

That’s your imagination working against you instead of for you.

One of the most powerful things you can do is change the questions you’re asking yourself.

Instead of:  “What if this doesn’t work?”

Try: “What if it does?”  “What opportunities could come from this?” “What if this turns out better than I expected?”

How do you know you’re overthinking?  It doesn’t feel good.

You find yourself procrastinating, avoiding decisions, or keeping busy with tasks that don’t really move you forward.

Overthinking drains your energy without creating progress. It’s a lot like worry. As the saying goes, “Worry is like a rocking chair. it gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you anywhere.”

This week, notice where you’re using your imagination against yourself and choose to direct it towards possibility instead.

Have a great week ahead!!!

Is there ever a “right time”?

Is there ever a “right time”?

People often tell themselves  that they are  too busy, too early, too late, or I’ll start "when the time is right." But what if time isn't the problem? Nature doesn't hesitate. A tree knows when to let go of its leaves and when to grow new ones. It doesn't overthink...
